Grading American Buffalo Gold coins

Since American buffalo coins are not designed for circulation, they are generally in prisitne condition. The 24 kt gold is softer than the alloy gold, which makes buffaloes more susceptble to scratching. Coins are typically graded by NGS or PCGS. A coin graded as MS68 will have only the most minor visible blemish. An MS69 coin will have no blemish that can be seen wtih the naked eye. An MS70 coin is perfect and will have no blemish seen under magnification.
